The official death toll from the car bomb that exploded outside a girls’ school in Kabul has risen to at least 50, although the local security authorities had been talking about a much higher number.
The spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior provided the update, specifying that two bombs were detonated after the first one: the schoolgirls, frightened by the explosion, fled the building in panic, but were killed by the subsequent explosions.
